Little G's Newborn Session

I had the opportunity to travel to a client's home out in Spangle, WA a couple weeks ago for a newborn session. Oh my gosh- I had a smile slapped on my face the entire drive. It's so gorgeous out there! Who needs an ocean when you have the tall grass blowing in the wind like waves across rolling hills! My clients property sits facing the most beautiful scenery (I went a little gaga over it actually). Their home is so cozy and farmhouse themed- I was in love!

I stuck with neutral tones for little man's session. I tend to stick with natural baby led posing in my sessions and I was cracking up nearly the whole time I had him on the bean bag, because he just did NOT want to keep his arm where I tried to place it and kept flopping it back down on his side. So that's where I left it! I caught a few super adorable little smirks during the session which totally made up for his refusal to let me place his hands!

He had a position he curled himself into and got pretty mad when I attempted to reposition him, so I let him stay there, comfy cozy and snug as a bug! I just love how his red hair stands out against the blue!

Dad told me when he was a young boy he used to pick peaches with this very bucket and really wanted to incorporate it into some shots just as they had done with their first baby. I'm so happy he suggested it, because I love they way it turned out! What a neat way to preserve memories and pass them down to your children!

Big brother was SO excited to help me set up and organize during the session. I could tell he was proud to be a big brother to this little cutie! I couldn't leave without getting his very own portrait, and he was perfect!! And he did SO well when we had him hold his little brother for their sibling portrait too!

One of my favorite poses to do is in a basket. It is so peaceful to me and usually babies LOVE this set up. They get to be curled up in a cozy little bowl, wrapped with soft warm fuzzy stuff. Little G was so perfect and I'm so happy I was able to capture these precious moments of his new life with his family!
